Today we visited Parque Seminario in Asunción. Within the broader city center, it is one of the larger green spaces and offers an approximately 1.5 km long loop suitable for walking or walking dogs.
Although the park is labeled as dog-friendly, we found no visible signage or facilities directly on-site that indicated dogs are welcome – for example, water bowls, bins for dog waste, or informational boards. It felt more like an ordinary city park where dogs are tolerated, not actively welcomed.
The visit had an unexpected conclusion. We accidentally came on a Sunday when the park is officially closed. We got in by chance, but during our walk, the park was locked down, and suddenly we had a problem getting out. In the end, we had to resolve the situation a bit adventurously – by jumping over the fence.
