Describing ourselves in a few lines isn\u2019t exactly easy, but I\u2019ll give it a try\u2026<\/p>\n\n

Two burned-out ex-corporate types brought together at the start of Covid. Boris was living his dream\u2014he\u2019d just bought a restaurant in the center of Bratislava. I was between jobs, freshly back from an ashram in India and wondering what to do next. We were both well traveled, each in our own way\u2014Boris the adventurer, with diving and extreme skiing; me more low-key, with yoga. Covid clipped our wings, but we didn\u2019t give up. Thanks to Boris, I discovered Slovakia\u2019s mountains during the pandemic, and as soon as borders reopened, we packed our bags.<\/p>\n\n

Our first big journey took us to Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, and Brazil\u2014where our love story with South America began, and it\u2019s still going strong\u2026<\/p>\n\n

And where does IBO, our fox terrier, fit into all this? I\u2019d always wanted a dog\u2014specifically a Hungarian Vizsla. Boris\u2019s family, on the other hand, had fox terriers for generations. During Covid we often looked after Dashi, his mom\u2019s dog, who trekked a good chunk of Slovakia\u2019s mountains with us. Little by little, helped by the work-from-home lifestyle, I realized it was the perfect time for a dog of our own. And along came IBO (almost a Vizsla, but in reality 100% fox terrier). When I went to see the puppies, he immediately clambered all over me and wouldn\u2019t stop\u2014the decision was made\u2026 With his typical foxy temperament, he completes us beautifully, and we wouldn\u2019t trade him for anything. He\u2019s our partner in life and on the road. \ud83d\udc3e<\/p>\n

He\u2019s been traveling with us almost everywhere since he was a pup. The only times we left him at home were when we flew. Being apart was always tough\u2014endless wondering about how he was, what he might be doing, whether he missed us\u2026 So we said enough is enough. Our travels took a clear turn: from then on, he\u2019d come with us everywhere\u2014even on flights. And it was one of the best decisions we\u2019ve ever made \ud83d\ude42.<\/p>\n\n
